Phantom Time

Three hundred years of history were a LIE!

This publication explores the Phantom Time conspiracy theory, which is the concept that 300 years of the Dark Ages did not exist and were made up as lies. Phantom Time uses discrepancies as evidence of the missing years. These discrepancies include dates not adding up, a suspicious lack of information on a great king, and missing tree rings.

The goal of this project was to use type as the main illustrative element to argue for a conspiracy theory in an interesting and informative way. I included a few simple illustrations throughout the publication, but type fills up the majority of the pages. I designed a moon calendar as an interactive element. I researched the topic myself, but used AI for the written content. This allowed me to fully focus on the design of the publication. This project taught me a lot about print and designing booklets.
